Todd Klein, Ph.DDirector of Engineering

Todd has been an integral part of Zepto Life Technology’s team from the very beginning and strives to develop a product pipeline that will bring central-lab quality data to point-of-care settings in a convenient, handheld package. Starting in 2009, Todd worked to develop new designs and concepts in magnetic biosensing while also leading a team to optimize and integrate giant magneto-resistive (GMR) technology into a hand-held system for multiplex biomarker quantification.

In 2014, Todd and Professor Jian-Ping Wang, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Minnesota, helped represent more than 20 members of the Golden Gopher Magnetic Biosensing team, presenting their system to a panel of judges in the Nokia Sensing XCHALLENGE competition, winning a Distinguished Prize award.

Todd earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Minnesota while working with Professor Jian-Ping Wang to research magnetic biosensing technology.
